Throatsplitter – Latex Boffer Spear
Commissioned 63″ bone spear, with a femur pommel and spine details. The rust job in particular is one of my favourite parts of this project. Adding a bit of blue-green to the metal adds significantly to the grungy-ness of a rusted hunk of metal. Perfect for a post-apocalyptic game. The spear is detailed with little anchor bolts, which makes it look as if it came from a scrapped wide-flange beam. The connection points between the spine details and the bone are also decorated with anchor bolts.
Construction: Evazote, open cell foam, XLPE 2LB foam, and Craft Foam with FWET core and latex/fabric mesh.
